Business Education Partnership (BEP) was established almost 15 years ago as an answer to the need for school districts to comply with the Education Reform Act of 1993.  At the same time business leaders recognized that students were under equipped for entry level employment and wanted to assist schools in preparing youth for the world of work.  BEP accomplishes both goals and continues to adapt to the needs of its partners.

     
alt textOur mission is to bring together Business and Education by providing opportunities which help prepare our youth for post high school education, be productive members of society, exemplary employees, and future business leaders. 

Over the years BEP has developed numerous programs offering different ways for students to explore careers.  This is the first step toward post high school education and      employment.  Since our beginning, over 28,000 students have been impacted by BEP programs. 

 
Our programs are developed to be age appropriate:

  • Career Fairs at any grade level
  • High School Seniors can apply for Job Shadows, Career Seminars and Internships
  • High School Juniors & Seniors can apply for Job Shadows and Career Seminars
  • Teachers of Freshmen & Sophomores can request Group Tours or Guest Speakers
  • Middle School Teachers can schedule Group Tours or Guest Speakers
  • Elementary Teachers can schedule Guest Speakers
  • The Lunch Buddy program is a weekly lunch mentoring program for elementary students.

Our homepage includes helpful information for both students and parents.  Career Clusters includes the 16 Clusters with a list of career titles and how much education is required for each.  There is also a link to the national site which has more information.  Parents Place contains information to help you, help your youth be successful in school; which is the foundation of their future, the future of our valley, Washington State, the USA and the world.
