Central Washington University, a four-year university located 38 miles west of Yakima, offers undergraduate degrees in the arts and sciences, business, professional education and certain technical fields; graduate degrees at the master’s level in arts and sciences and professional education; and pre-professional programs for students interested in pursuing additional training in professional schools. Fort Simcoe Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center provides vocational programs in business clerical, culinary arts, automotive repair, light truck driver, painter, plastering, heavy equipment operator, heavy equipment mechanics,bricklaying, and carpentry.

Workforce Training and Education Providers include ACTNOW Human Resources offers employability skill development, medical terminology and computer training; AJA Massage Therapy Institute; Lower Valley School of Massage; Yakima Valley Body Therapy Institute; Leonardo Taxidermy School, and the GMC Training Institute.
