offers the area’s only open-heart surgery program and has cardiac services that are nationally recognized for excellence. Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital 
is a non-profit hospital, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care through 300 primary care and specialty physicians, as well as 1,400 skilled nurses, therapists, technicians and other health care and business professionals.

Memorial Hospital was founded in 1950 by a group of local citizens. As a not-for-profit hospital any money remaining after expenses have been paid is reinvested in health care. Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) is a non-profit organization providing high quality, affordable primary health care, dental and mental health services to more than 30,000 people annually through five locations: Central Washington Family Medicine, Yakima Pediatric Associates, Community Health of Central Washington – Ellensburg, Ellensburg Dental Clinic, and the Naches Medical Clinic. Additional health programs include: Central Washington Family Residency Program, Senior and Residential Care (SRCare), Senior Smiles, and Pediatric Hospitalist Service.
