Many City of Yakima facilities will be closed Monday, January 16th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation offices.
Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available.
Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday and the City’s Harman Center will be closed.
City of Yakima garbage pick-up service will continue as scheduled Monday, but the Refuse Division’s office will be closed. There will be no delays next week for refuse collection.
Lions Pool will remain open to the public.
During a study session on Tuesday, January 10th, the Yakima City Council proclaimed the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday to be a Day of Service In the city of Yakima.
