Dear Community Member or Business,
This past July, the 53rd Ordnance Company left the Yakima Training Center for Afghanistan on an EOD mission. These men and women won't be returning to the United States until February 2020, which means they won't get to spend the holidays with their families. This year, the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Yakima Chapter of "Operation Thank You" to do "Packing & Shipping" for these soldiers so that they might experience a little bit of home while serving our country so far away.
We will be packing and shipping boxes the end of this month and again the first week of December. We need cash for postage and to purchase much needed items (see list below) - or if your company would like to donate any of the items listed, that would be very much appreciated.
On behalf of our soldiers and their families, we thank you for your donation and are so grateful for the generosity of this community!
Thank you,
Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce & Yakima Chapter "Operation Thank you"
